Re: The Lampworks' FORUM

Due to limited use and extensive abuse, I have decided to remove the FORUM from the web site. Thanks to all those who contributed. If you have questions, you may contact me through the Contact Us page.

Re: The Lampworks' FORUM

Our service provider recently upgraded to a newer version of the phpBB software that runs The Lampworks' FORUM. Unfortunately, we were unable to migrate the old data to the new database, so it's "missing in action" and we're starting over from scratch. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Re: Availability of Parts

Late in the summer of 2004 I moved the contents of the shop to the lower level of the barn, and moved my workshop to the upper level, in preparation for a major kitchen and bathroom renovation project. The inventory is still packed away and I have VERY limited access to it until it warms up in the spring. Therefore, requests for lamps and parts are likely to be delayed until the warmer weather. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Lamp Accidents Page

I have added a page of snippets from an 1880's newspaper that relate to the dangers of kerosene lamps. It's very interesting reading!

Review the articles here.

In response to increasing customer demand, effective January 1, 2003, The Lampworks will be accepting merchandise payments through PayPal. Please note that we do not accept credit card payments directly, but you may use the PayPal system to pay by major credit card. We hope that this will be a positive benefit to our customers.

Re: Site Navigation - Netscape 6.x

The drop-down menu at the top of each page does not work properly in Netscape 6.2. I am not aware of problems in other versions, but they may exist. In the mean time, please use the Site Map to navigate around the web site. I apologize for the inconvenience and am working to remedy the problem.

To see what the drop-down menu looks like, click here.

Update, 12-22-2002, I have NO plans to change the menu system at this time, and Netscape users who experience problems will have to adjust accordingly or upgrade to Internet Explorer.
